Mission Statement
To preserve the atmosphere of the Village of Airmont by identifying properties for open space acquisition and presenting recommendations to the Village Board on the acquisition, financing and utilization of proposed properties. To strategically utilize open space acquisitions for the purposes of promoting recreational uses, preservation of our natural resources, maintenance of natural habitats for wildlife, preserving sources for water retention to recharge our aquifers and to limit the burdens on transportation and sewer infrastructure.
