The Quality of Life Committee is an advisory panel to the Board of Trustees that investigates resident issues that affect quality of life and make recommendations to the Board of Trustees. The committee’s scope has included items such as sound barriers for residents near the thruway, traffic safety concerns, code enforcement and area beautification.
Mission Statement
The Quality of Life Committee is dedicated to fostering a Village environment that provides a sense of unity, tranquility, and harmony by maintaining the suburban character of our neighborhoods and controlling development, with respect for and inconsideration of the rights and needs of all residents in the Village of Airmont. We shall work on behalf of the community to achieve the foregoing objectives that affect the quality of life by concentrating on a variety of issues such as, but not limited to, traffic concerns, utilization of open space, safety of community, recreation activities, beautification of the Village and maintenance of property values.
