The Village of Airmont Community Clean-Up Day held on Sunday, April 22nd set a new record this year, collecting 68 bags of trash and 27 bags of recyclables, thanks to the hard-working volunteers who took part. This annual event is part of the Keep Rockland Beautiful initiative that invites residents to take an active role in making a positive impact on their environment, in celebration of Earth Day. Airmont Mayor Philip Gigante, along with Trustees Paul Marchesani, Anthony Valvo, Peter Blunnie, and Kevin Warbrick pitched in with the clean-up efforts, along with a team of local residents of all ages.
